María Alejandra Celis

Attorney from Universidad de La Sabana, with a Specialization in Customs Law and International Trade from Universidad del Rosario, and a Specialization in Tax Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She has more than eight years of experience in law firms, trade associations, and companies in the logistics sector, leading complex legal matters in international trade, customs, and regulatory compliance.

She has structured and coordinated projects for the authorization of customs warehouses, customs agencies, free trade zones, and port operators; advised transactions under special import-export regimes; led Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) audits and foreign exchange compliance assessments; and represented companies before the DIAN in administrative and sanctioning proceedings.

Her experience also includes implementing contractual models for cross-border logistics services and developing legal strategies to attract investment through mechanisms such as Special Permanent Free Trade Zones. She is recognized for her technical expertise, strategic vision, and results-oriented approach, positioning herself as a reference in international trade regulations.
